Dean of Craft Beer Education: Tom Hoffman
A craft beer aficionado and bottle collector, Tom is passionate about Pittsburgh’s access to quality beer education. Despite his wife’s belittling him as a “beer geek,” Tom understands that failing to obtain a proper beer education can severely limit one’s quality and enjoyment of food and Friday nights. Raised in Dogfish Head’s backyard, Tom enjoys his hometown beer and always keeps a few bottles of 120 Minute IPA in the cupboard.

Director of Student Affairs-Darryl Cozza
Darryl brings balance to Tom’s raving beer geekdom, ensuring a common sense beer drinker’s voice is present. Despite his preference for the complexities of Belgian ales, Darryl remains an open minded beer drinker. You're just as likely to find him knocking back a few light lagers as you are to find him savoring the complexities of a heady Trappist.

Your Active City tours have combined Sara's love of history and years as a tourism professional. She enjoys sharing the inside stories and guiding people through her hometown.After living around the world, Sara has come home to share with others where Pittsburgh has been and where we’re going! Sara is excited to be a part of Pittsburgh Brewniversity and to lead the 'Burgh Brew Tour.
